{"id":720,"date":"2022-02-25T04:29:40","date_gmt":"2022-02-25T07:29:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ladc.sbc.org.br\/?page_id=720"},"modified":"2023-09-27T09:39:49","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T12:39:49","slug":"ladc2022-submit","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ladc.sbc.org.br\/2023\/ladc2022-submit\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Contributions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">*** UPDATED WITH EXTENDED NOTIFICATION - July 24 ***<\/mark>\n<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">*** UPDATED WITH CAMERA-READY - August 14 ***<\/mark><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>LADC 2023 &#8211; 12th Latin-American Symposium on Dependable and Secure Computing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Co-located with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/umsa-2023.clei.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CLEI 2023<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (XLIX Conferencia Latinoamericana de Inform\u00e1tica) in La Paz, Bol\u00edvia, from October 16-20.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The&nbsp;<\/span><b>Latin-American Symposium on Dependable and Secure Computing <\/b><b>(LADC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the major event on dependability and security of computer systems in Latin America.&nbsp;<\/span><b>LADC 2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;will feature technical sessions, workshops, tutorials, fast abstracts, keynote talks from international experts in the area, and an industrial track.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Symposium is promoted by the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/comissoes.sbc.org.br\/ce-tf\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Special Committee on Fault-Tolerant Systems (CE-TF)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/sbc.org.br\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brazilian Computer Society (SBC)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LADC 2023&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be co-located with the<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 49th Latin American Informatics Conference (CLEI 2023) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in <\/span><b>La Paz, Bolivia from 16-20 October 2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, coinciding with the celebration of the 475th anniversary of the city\u2019s foundation in 1548.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prospective authors are invited to submit original research papers for presentation at the symposium in two categories: (1) full research (regular) papers, and (2) practical experience reports. Papers will be assessed with criteria appropriate to each category.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LADC<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;looks for works exploring new territory, continuing significant research, or reflecting on practical experience. While full research manuscripts should explore a specific technology problem and propose a complete solution to it, with extensive results, practical experience reports are expected to provide an in-depth exposition of practitioner experience and empirical studies.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>All aspects of dependable and secure systems and networks are within the scope of&nbsp;<\/b><b>LADC<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including fault-tolerant architectures, protocols, and algorithms, models for performance and dependability evaluation, as well as experimentation and assessment of dependable and secure systems and networks. The Best Paper Award is also a tradition in LADC and will be selected among the submitted works.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>NEW!!!<\/strong><\/span> LADC 2023 will be followed by a special issue in The <a href=\"https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/journals\/index.php\/jisa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JISA<\/a> &#8211; Journal of Internet Services and Applications (Qualis CAPES A2<strong>)<\/strong>. The authors of selected best papers will be invited to submit an extended version for the journal special issue.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Submission Guidelines<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Papers must be written in English. All submissions are single-blind and will be reviewed by at least three program committee members. Research Papers and Practical Experience Reports should be no longer than 10 pages and 6 pages, respectively, using the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/authors.acm.org\/proceedings\/production-information\/taps-production-workflow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ACM sigconf template<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;(double column, \\documentclass[sigconf]{acmart} for LaTeX). The category of the paper should be clearly marked on the first page.
