Workshops co-Located with LADC 2025
2nd Workshop on Resilience Engineering in Computer Systems (RECS 2025)
Resilience is the ability to build and sustain a system that can deal effectively with disruptive events. Resilience finds applications across various domains within the engineering and social sciences, including the spectrum of computer systems employed to automate processes, manage data, and ensure efficient operations of essential services such as water, agriculture, energy, transportation, healthcare, and national security.
The Workshop on Resilience Engineering in Computer Systems (RECS 2025) will assemble academic, industry, and government subject matter experts from the various established and emerging disciplines, including junior researchers, to facilitate discussions on challenges and opportunities in designing, implementing, and evaluating resilient computer systems that can withstand disruptions and threats while maintaining functionality and security across diverse domains.
First Latin America Workshop on Blockchain (LABlock 2025)
LABlock 2025 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government across Latin America to discuss dependable and secure blockchain systems—covering theory, technology, and applications. We focus on robustness, security, privacy, performance, sustainability, and practical deployment of blockchain-based systems in domains such as finance, health, public administration, supply chains, energy, and telecommunications.
Blockchain technologies intersect directly with LADC themes: Byzantine fault tolerance and consensus; secure distributed architectures; correctness, testing, and benchmarking of large-scale systems; threat modeling and attack resilience; privacy, compliance, and trustworthy data sharing; and formal/empirical validation of system properties. The workshop will attract both the LADC community and adjacent communities in distributed systems, networks, and security, strengthening LADC’s role as the regional hub for trustworthy computing.
Call for Workshop Proposals
LADC 2025 invites proposals for co-located workshops that will complement the main symposium by offering forums for focused discussions on emerging and specialized topics of dependability and security. Workshops may serve as platforms for early-stage idea exchange, in-depth research discussions, or collaborative working sessions to address current challenges in the field.
